first time letterboxer traveling through IN, southern OH and KY

First time letterboxing family looking for any advice or recommendations. We will be traveling from Muncie, IN to Dayton, OH to Cincinnati OH, to Elizabethtown KY and finally north to Chicago. I have printed off numerous clue pages for boxes in these areas. We are a family of two adults and three children under the age of nine just starting this hobby. Do any of you have recommended box locations that would be interesting and entertaining? Thanks for the help and looking forward to our first find.
Bess

You could start in the Chicago area at Great Lakes gathering on
Saturday! Newbie workshop, lots of great boxes...

the john bryan park boxes are really cool. the frog series are
relatively easy, although some are missing. then there are the
yellow springs, oh boxes.

once in cinci you could do any of the scout dog boxes in miami
whitewater park. she has a harry potter series that the kids may
like. then there are my boxes, the crappie fishing series.

have a great time!!!

watch out, it has been said that cinci is the second or third
largest area with regard to letterboxes. we have tons of boxes out
here. franz solo has placed some nice boxes in the city parks...like
mt airy and eden parks. then there's the jedi stuff....a dad and
son who place boxes and caches in the area. so you'll have lots to
choose from!!

let us know when you come in to town. i'm sure that many of us would
like to meet up with you guys and do some exchanges.
